FAREWELL TO THE FUTURE LEADERS AWARD
We launched the Future Leaders Award in 2010. At the time the focus was on women getting on Boards.
WiC knew that in order to achieve more women on boards, we would need to identify and support women with the potential to reach senior management and executive board positions – what began to be called the “talent pipeline”.
Between then and 2017 we recognised many outstanding females all of whom have gone on to undertake more stretching and more senior roles.
We’re proud of the success of this and our earlier Woman of Achievement Award which recognised senior women who were actively championing the progress of women in their teams, organisations and sectors.
We are delighted that WiC was at the forefront of a recognising gender diversity champions and future female leaders, carving a pathway for other awards and businesswomen to follow.
